How To Eat Healthy in 2009
Is your New Year’s resolution to eat healthier in 2009? If so, you’re not alone. USA.gov lists “eat right”, “lose weight” and “get fit” as 3 of the most popular New Year’s Resolutions made by American citizens.
Eating healthy can be overwhelming especially if you try to change your habits all at once. Resolving to eat healthier in 2009 is the first important step in taking better care of your body. To have a real shot at keeping your resolution there are 2 more steps to follow: First, choose small changes that are easy to fit in into your lifestyle. Second, set concrete goals that are achievable.
If you try to change too much too quickly you run the risk of getting frustrated with yourself. Be kind to yourself. Be patient. And take it one step at a time. If you fall behind a little, or are unable to succeed at one small task, don’t give up. Try again, or pick something else where you have a better chance at success.
To give you a head start we’ll be posting “Healthy Eating How-To’s” every day for the next few days with small change that can help you eat healthier in 2009. Pick the ones that feel simple to follow and make the most sense for you.
