January 7th, 2009

We’ve all been there. You’re having a good healthy eating week and suddenly you find yourself in a situation where you’re hungry with no prepared meal in sight. Enter the vending machine, the drive-thru, the plate of communal cookies, and before you know it you’ve killed your week-long good eating karma in a fast-food minute.

When we are hungry the instinct to eat whatever we can find the quickest is almost impossible to fight. Trying to resist the urge to eat when you are hungry is never going to work as a healthy eating strategy, nor is it a kind to you and your fabulous body.

So, as our Healthy Eating How - To number 3 we are going to recommend that you start carrying healthy snacks with you as you go about your daily routine. Now, when hunger strikes you will have a snack handy to tide you over while you prepare or buy a nutritious meal.
